A Date with the Dogs

3:03 PM

Friday is date night at the Fritz house, or date day as it happened this past week.  With little money to have extravagant date nights at the moment, we have decided to go for more creative date ideas this year.  Friday we decide we would borrow a dog from the humane society for the day and go for a nice walk.

 Adele our dog friend

Although this may seem dull to some, this was a treat for us and Adele, the the dog we walked.   Josh and I are both dog people at heart and can't wait to get a puppy ourselves.  Sadly living in an apartment isn't the best for dogs, leaving us waiting for a more appropriate time to get a puppy.  On our date we got to enjoy each others company and a future dream together, even if it was only for a little while.  To say the least it was a success.  We want to go back to the humane society to take some other dogs on a walk soon.  We were sad to go, but happy to know we can go back soon.

We came back home for a nice dessert we could enjoy together to finish off our date.  The bread pudding was great and thanks to our handy dandy crock pot it was ready to devour as soon as we got back home.  Later this week I will share the recipe with you.  Thirty minutes of prep and a fantastic dessert from scratch that isn't to bad for you.

I hope our date night inspires you to get out and enjoy time with a loved one.  You really should check out your humane societies policies to see if you could enjoy walking a less fortunate pet.  If you love dogs half as much as us I'm sure you will love it, and your new doggy friend will love it too.  Happy dog walking!
